Welcome!  I’m so glad you’ve found my little corner of the web.  Allow me to introduce myself – I’m Chandra {Jayne} and I’m a lifelong teacher, Ohio gal turned Southern mama, and now author of this educational blog.  My goal here is to highlight amazing teachers, fabulous lessons, and to give credit to one of the hardest jobs in the world.  While in the classroom for six years, I had the privilege of working with some amazing students and inspiring colleagues.  When I took some time off to stay at home with my son, I missed those relationships.  I wanted to get back into the classroom even if it wasn’t in a physical sense.  I had shared my ideas and mentored other teachers for the past few years and I wanted to continue doing just that.  That’s where C.Jayne Teach was born.  In addition to writing this blog to share ideas, I’m also planning a product line of classroom solutions for teachers.  This product line is intended to keep you organized and focused on what matters most – your students.  I can’t wait for you all to see it when it launches in time for Back-to-School 2013.  In the meantime, sign up for our newsletter and visit our submissions page to submit all of those fantastic ideas and lessons that I know you’ve been hard at work on.  I can’t wait to feature them!

Just a few notes of thank you.  Thank you to Cathy and her team at Love-Inspired for helping to make this journey so easy and wonderful for me.  Thank you to Katy Southern for the beautiful images you see around this site.  Thank you to Lara, Gina, and Emily for inspiring me daily and helping to encourage this little idea on that October day in Atlanta.  Thank you to all of my friends who have listened and supported all of my blog efforts.  Thank you to the teachers I’ve worked with who have motivated me to do better and to be better every single day.  Thank you to my family who have always been my biggest cheerleaders.  And thank you to my husband and our little Southern gentleman – I can’t thank you enough for your patience, support, and unconditional love for this little project and all those crazy ideas I’ve had.  And thank you in advance to those of you who are joining me here and who will share this site with a teacher they know (and don’t we all know at least one teacher).  You all are the best!
